About the Event
Folklore holds that the Hessian soldiers of the Revolutionary War were blood-thirsty mercenaries, purchased by King George III to fight the rebellious colonists. Even though there were no battles in Western Massachusetts during the American Revolution, there were Hessians here. Hear how these men got to our area, why they were here, and why, in the end, some of them stayed.
